The wife and I hired a baby sitter to watch the kids while we went to Pike's Lodge during the Iron Dog Race from the 15th thru the 17th. Friday night was fun we went to a valentine church banquet and won a gift basket for winning Bingo. Saturday we went out to lunch and a movie that evening. Back at the hotel we played some Wii for a little. The following morning Amy woke up around 0300 hrs and could not go back to bed. I woke up to Amy talking about contractions on the phone with her sisters because we got our hopes up a week earlier when contractions came and never stayed. We went downstairs to check out but the ladies behind the desk were having printer problems and Amy was in the bathroom. The ladies said that they were experiencing minor difficulties in printing a receipt for us and if we could be patient a moment while the correct the issue. I said that is fine that we are not in a hurry but that my wife is labouring. They turned around and in unison replied "What, are we going to be delivering a baby here?" At this time Amy had walked up and also reassured them that she was fine and that is the reason for the early checkout.

Grace and Eric were excited to see Baby Emily and Mommy but Gavin didn't know what to think. He was very unsure until he saw the reaction from Grace and Eric.

she wanted to hold Emily as soon as she came in the room.

Putting Up the tree!!

We decided to put our Christmas Tree up the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I invited a friend over who's husband is also deployed. We had fun!! Eric found the "boots" ...LOL!!!
They are SO happy to put the Christmas tree up!!

My FIRST quilt!!! :-D

Eric enjoying his NEW blanket from mommy!! The others can't wait for theirs. I can't even think of HOW i had time to work on something like this but i made it happen. Just so you all know how BIG it is, it fits a twin size bed!! I'm so excited about it and the next one I'll be working on.

The BEST, MOST awesome, peaceful breaks for me while my hubby's gone. Although this was bedtime, I have to sleep w/ them during nap time inorder for Eric and Grace to get any sleep. (when Grace is off from school that is.)

Grace was outside enjoying the snow! On another day Eric is enjoying helping Gavin ride the tricycle in our basement. That's where they ride their bikes 9 months out of the year. The pic below they are havings snack after a nap time. (All these pics were taken w/in the last 30 days.)
