THE famous ice park in Fairbanks, AK. We went in March when it was STILL below zero!! It was a LOT of fun. In the kids park there was a basket that kids could sit and spin in. There were also a LOT of slides that they enjoyed going down. Our batteries died by the time we got to them so we didn't get much of those pics.
We had friends that went to the park and their camera froze!! Then when they got home and it thawed out it was ruined b/c of the condensation!!
Their first week here we went to the Elderado Gold Mine and on a Riverboat tour. Both were wonderful. We got to pan for gold!! The gold we found they weighed it and put it into a necklace for us!! When we were on the boat we stopped by a native indian reservation and got a tour there too!!! It was interesting!!! A native here has her handy work of a native coat on display at the Smithsonian in Wash. D.C.!! It's made with moose leather and caribou fur and bones w/ bead decor too. They take about 6 months to make ONE and sell for about $60,000!!! Enjoy the pics!!
Gavin going home and Grace and Eric Ray enjoying him!!! Our view from the 5th fl. (top) of the hospital. If you look REALLY closely you can see mountains in the distance. You ALL have to come visit b/c the pic does not do justice of what they REALLY look like.
